Saturday Surprise At Simeone Museum

Last Saturday more than 50 friends of Carz ‘n Toyz oohed and aahed their way through a guided tour of the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia, sponsored by American Collectors Insurance and Luxury Brokers International . The most significant collection of sports and road racing cars in the world was brought to life by an extremely knowledgeable tour guide who recounted racing histories and vehicle origins. “That was a fun outing with a guided tour…and seeing the Cunningham run was a rare treat,” said Mark Petri. The unplanned but very welcome running of the Cunningham was explained by the tour guide. It seems the former owner sold it to the Simeone Museum with the stipulation that he be allowed to drive it on occasion in the back parking lot. Saturday, to the delight of the Carz ‘n Toys crowd, was one of those days. Proceeds benefit Vitua Hospital pediatric patients and their families.

First Cars’n Toyz Wine Dinner A Huge Success

Sunday the 7th of October marked the first ever Carz ‘n Toyz wine dinner. The event, held at the Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield New Jersey, hosted 125 guests. The Dinner featured wine pairings provided by (winery name) and an auction of automotive memorabilia that raised $3,000. “I have been to many of these events, but this one was very special. There was a great warm feeling with all who attended and a passion to help the children”, wrote Joe Sweeney VP, First Trust Bank. First Trust Bank was the lead sponsor and presented a check for $5,000 to Carz ‘n Toyz board member Sam Lacroce.
Proceeds benefit Vitua Hospital pediatric patients and their families.
